This Massive Antique Mall in Washington Has Its Very Own Coffee Shop
Looking for a cozy antique store in Washington? This spot near Cashmere is jam-packed with unique finds. It also has its own cafe!
No matter the time of year, one of my favorite activities is thrifting. Washington is brimming with fantastic antique malls where price-conscious shoppers are guaranteed to find something that suits their tastes and goes easy on their wallets. Now, whoever looked at this hobby and decided it could be improved upon with coffee? We owe that innovator a gift. Whether you're visiting the Leavenworth area or a local looking for weekend activities, check out the Antique Mall at Cashmere. This expansive spot is home to diverse vendors and — best yet — a delicious cafe that will take your shopping to the next level!
Though it's less popular with tourists, Cashmere is only 15 minutes from Leavenworth. This underrated gem is a slice of small-town heaven, nestled in some of the most productive fruit orchards in the country and boasting stunning hikes. However, it was the local antiquing scene that put Cashmere on my radar. This button-sized community contains some incredible antique malls, each one a trove of discoveries with prices that will keep you coming back.
Of these shops, one of my favorites is the Antique Mall at Cashmere. For the last 25 years, this locally-owned retailer has built a reputation for the quality of its inventory, sold by over 100 vendors. Admittedly, not every antiquer will find what they're looking for here. As with many small-town spots, the Antique Mall at Cashmere specializes in certain aesthetics and eras. If you're looking for sleek mid-century furniture, you might leave disappointed. If you're on the hunt for a timeless Shaker armoire, there's a good chance you'll find what you're looking for!
Like many avid thrifters, I can spend hours perusing a mall's offerings. With years of treasure-hunting under my belt, here's my advice for the best possible excursion: First, arrive with a wish list but hope to be surprised. Even if you don't find that lamp you've been searching high and low for, you might find a tea set you'll treasure for years. My next piece of advice is for out-of-towners: Don't visit on your last day. If you see something but need to think about it or would like to contact a vendor for potential discounts, it helps to have an extra day or two to spare. Another tip is to wear comfortable shoes. You may not be hiking, but a day of antiquing can yield surprising mileage.
Usually, my final recommendation is to bring a coffee to help fuel your browsing, but this isn't necessary at Antique Mall at Cashmere. Their cafe serves a range of delicious espresso drinks that are guaranteed to keep you energized and cozy!
