Of course, if you're a fan of fresh seafood, you can't do much better than the annual spring festival in Virginia: the Chincoteague Seafood Festival. Visitors from all over travel to the island to celebrate.

The purpose of the event is to promote and support the seafood industry on Virginia's Eastern Shore. As you can imagine, that means there will be loads of fresh seafood to sample.

Oysters, clams, shrimp...you name it, they'll have it at this must-attend festival.

One of the best parts of the weekend is the chance to see the pros expertly preparing each dish.

Small plates will be offered in an all-you-can-eat style. Trust us when we say this is one event you'll want to come hungry to!

This year's event is $60 per person, with children under 5 admitted for free. Non-alcoholic drinks are included in admission, and beer can be purchased separately.
