The Eiffel Tower at Kings Dominion is decidedly less famous than the one you'll find in Paris, but we'd argue that it's even more thrilling. Tucked away in the very heart of Kings Dominion awaits the Eiffel Tower, a symbol of the park's beginnings.

The Kings Dominion Eiffel Tower was constructed in 1975, the same year that the park opened. It's also the second one of its kind to be built; the first replica was constructed three years earlier at the Cedar Fair Parks property in Ohio known as Kings Island.

Want to know a fun fact? The construction of the tower took a whopping 450 tons of steel to create!

Each replica stands an impressive 314 feet tall, and the observation tower at Kings Dominion is 264 feet high.

As you can see from the photo below, the view from the top is positively breathtaking! Just look how far you can see on a clear summer's day.

The tower is also quite handy for navigating the massive park. If you happen to get lost, it's always a great idea to reconvene at the base of the Eiffel Tower!
