Take a Scenic Drive On Lincoln Gap Road And Be Wowed By Vermont’s Beauty

Lincoln Gap Road in Vermont is the highest mountain pass that cars are allowed to drive on in the state. Although parts of the road are steep and full of curves, the breathtaking views will make it worth your while. However, keep in mind that the road isn't plowed in the winter and closes due to weather conditions. Therefore, it's best to visit Lincoln Gap Road from April through October. Let's take a closer look at this scenic road in Vermont.

To get started on your scenic drive, take VT-100 either north or south and head to the town of Warren.

Aside from the views, one of the perks of taking this scenic drive is that it doesn't tend to get crowded.

You won't want to miss spectacular scenes like this one of the sun hitting the leaves. Therefore, remember to bring your camera when you head out on your adventure.

You'll feel as if you've been transported into a fairytale if you take a drive on Lincoln Gap Road when the leaves are this color.

Be prepared for some steep hills when you go on this mountain pass.

While parts of the road are steep, you'll be rewarded with views that go for miles when you reach higher vantage points.

Another way to experience Lincoln Gap Road is to hike the Long Trail. You'll be able to check out some amazing scenery from the trail too.

The Warren Covered Bridge is also referred to as the Lincoln Gap Bridge.

This historic bridge crosses the Mad River and is about a mile away from Lincoln Gap Road.
