Everyone loves music, and this museum is full of melodious tunes. The Estey Organ Museum in Brattleboro is a great place for music lovers, history buffs, and anyone else who can't resist tapping a few keys to create some powerful notes. Full of stories, pictures and, of course, organs, this is a fascinatingly wonderful place that you likely won't find anywhere else.

Welcome to the Estey Organ Museum, located at 108 Birge Street

Brattleboro, VT 05301.

For over 100 years, the Estey Organ Company produced finely crafted reed organs, pump organs, melodeons, and pipe organs.

This museum holds many organs that were made on site and is dedicated to the history and heritage of the Estey Organ Company.

This family business ran from 1852 – 1953 and produced hundreds of thousands of organs.

At its peak, the company employed more than 500 people, and sold its high-quality items as far away as Africa, Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand.

Today you can go in and learn about these masterpieces...

And you can even sit down and play a little diddy if you like.

You'll find fine examples of their work, such as the "Perfect Melodeon," the likes of which were manufactured starting in 1855.

As the company grew, so did the complex where they were built. At their peak there were over 20 buildings, many of which were interconnected by raised walkways and covered bridges.

You can still see many of the old slate factory buildings, although now they have been converted into businesses and apartments.

But the signs and clock remain paying its respects to this historical spot.

The buildings were covered in slate as this protected them from weather and fire, both of which destroyed many other organ factories back then.

Don't miss a trip to this awesome and unique spot in Brattleboro.
