Ride The Amtrak Through Vermont’s Foliage For Just $16

Amtrak's daily 12-hour route from Washington, D.C. to Vermont is called the Vermonter. And while it would take a full day to travel the entire route, you'll be on the train for a lot less time if you'd like to see the foliage in southern Vermont.

Per Amtrak's schedule, the ride from Brattleboro to White River Junction takes exactly 1 hour and 19 minutes. The ride through this part of the Green Mountain state goes through Bellow Falls, Claremont, and Windsor Mt. Ascutney before reaching White River Junction. So, along with enjoying the vibrant foliage, you'll get to see parts of these charming towns from the train. You can also continue on the train all the way up to St. Albans on one of the best train rides in the USA!
