The One Of A Kind Antique Shop In Texas That Deserves A Spot On Your Bucket List
Gruene Antique Company in Texas offers unique antiques in a historic building dating back to 1903.
Texas is an absolute goldmine for antiques, but this charming shop is in a league entirely its own. Gruene Antique Company not only sells nostalgic treasures you can't find anywhere else, but it's also located in a building that's more than 100 years old. Check it out:
Dating back to 1903, this historic locale once housed Gruene's very first bank vault. It also served as a home base for tenant farmers to operate out of before being converted into an antique mall in 1986.
Today, the building has been restored just enough to make it functional without sacrificing any originality or charm. Merely stepping inside immediately turns back the hands of time.
All 6500 square feet of the shop are packed floor-to-ceiling with unique items you won't find anywhere else. Whether you're in the market for vintage home decor, period furniture, or appliances from yesteryear, rest assured it can be found in this treasure trove.
Want dishes that impress dinner guests without breaking the bank? A huge variety of plates, mugs, utensils, and virtually every other kitchen necessity turn each meal into a culinary experience.
Footwear isn't exactly a typical antique shop find, but we strongly feel that should change. Every Texan needs at least one pair of cowboy boots, and you'll find them in every size, color, and style.
Any vinyl fanatics out there? Gruene Antique Company boasts a huge, multi-genre selection of classic records that would make perfect additions to your collection.
It's about time for a resurgence of retro appliances. Princess phones and several other circa 1960 household staples grace many shelves here. Although no longer operational, they sure do add an air of nostalgia to any room.
Most of us weren't alive during the era when these dinosaurs were used at school and work, but we can all appreciate their timelessness. Take home a refurbished typewriter and pound away, watching the manuscript come to life before your very eyes.
You'll find the store at 1607 Hunter Rd., New Braunfels, TX 78130. For more information, visit their website or Facebook page.
