A Pizza Festival Is Coming To San Antonio, Texas This Fall And It Will Be Pure Heaven For Foodies

San Antonio's first annual Pizza Festival on October 13, 2023, will feature local pizza vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

If pizza is your love language, mark your calendar for Friday, October 13, 2023. That's when the 1st Annual San Antonio's Pizza Festival is scheduled to take place, and it promises to be one delicious day. Featuring several local pizza restaurants plus live entertainment and other activities, this inaugural event will be the best Friday the 13th of your life.

Get ready to fall in love with pizza all over again when you attend the first-ever San Antonio's Pizza Festival on October 13, 2023.

Scheduled to take place at Alamo Biscuit Company from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m., the family-friendly festival will feature live music, a pizza-eating contest, and so much more.

Kids 12 and under get in free, and for everyone else, both general admission and VIP tickets are available. If you opt for the latter, you'll have access to a private indoor lounge area, a private comedy show, a free five-minute chair massage, one complimentary bite of pizza from each vendor, and a meet-and-greet with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. VIP ticketholders also get early entrance into the festival.

Several different vendors will be onsite, so no matter what type of pizza you're craving, rest assured you'll find it.

Let's start with Royal Pizza. This Italian-style pizzeria offers a variety of hand-tossed pies, ranging from classics like Margherita to more unique topping selections such as pistachios and caramelized onions.

If Detroit-style pizza is your jam, you'll definitely want to check out Via 313.

These rectangular pies are made with light and fluffy, focaccia-like dough that's topped with oodles of cheese and baked before the sauce is added for ultimate crispiness.

For those following a low-carb diet, Total Low Carbs Creations is a food truck famous for its signature 12-inch keto-friendly pizzas.

The entire pizza only has nine grams of net carbs, but you'd never know! Choose from toppings like pepperoni, sausage, chicken, and lots of veggies and prepare for your taste buds to be sent straight to heaven.

Another local food truck, Izzy's Pizza is new to the scene, but it's already making waves. Emphasizing seasonal ingredients, these pies are not to be missed.

Last - but certainly not least - we have Mattengas Pizzeria.

Started by two engineers with no prior restaurant experience, this family-owned joint has received numerous accolades, and for good reason. You'll see both traditional and innovative pies on the menu, and I can promise that you'll want to try them all.
