My family and I have an annual tradition of driving around and looking at Christmas lights every year. You would think that after almost every December night of my entire life living in the same town, the displays would get repetitive and boring - but I never seem to be disappointed. I suppose that's because we just know how to do Christmas the right way here in Texas. Check out these 10 amazing homes that are completely decked out - one of them might be right in your backyard!
10) The Roberts family in Andrews didn't stop with their house - they had to cover their entire lawn, too!
All of these lights, including a 75-foot mega tree, are synchronized to a five-song continuous loop.
9) The Interlochen neighborhood in upper Arlington is a spectacle this time of year.
More than 200 homes band together to create a dazzling tour with over 107 acres of magical lights.
8) Although not a home, I think the Johnson City Courthouse still has a rightful spot on this list.
And these trees in the town square are quite possibly the most stunning thing I've ever seen.
7) I think this Dallas family got a bit carried away with their decorations. Or maybe they're just really indecisive.
6) This is the roof of another house on the same street:
I wouldn't be surprised if the neighbors wear sunglasses after dark.
5) This house in El Paso puts on an AMAZING light show every year. It's the talk of the town during the holiday season!
4) This house in Houston could give Clark Griswold a run for his money (or his jelly of the month club membership). Don't you agree?
3) This also isn't a home, but the Gaylord Resort in Grapevine is too gorgeous at Christmastime not to include.
2) The simple elegance of the homes in Jefferson really captures the essence of Christmas.
1) I almost have no words to describe River Oaks in Houston during the holidays. Absolutely breathtaking.
I think I'll be seeing stars every time I close my eyes for a while, but it was totally worth it to catch a glimpse of these stunning homes.
