Running from November 20th through December 25th is the must-see Christmas at the Capitol, which highlights "nearly 90 trees decorated by businesses, nonprofit organizations, communities, and government offices throughout the state."

Featuring not only the 90 stunning trees, but also special events like special concerts and heritage events...

...the highly anticipated Pie Day...

...and the annual tree lighting, Christmas at the Capitol has become a favorite SoDak tradition for thousands of families.

South Dakotans are not the only ones to take notice of this tradition, as the Matador Network just named Christmas at the Capitol as one of the "9 most dazzling Christmas trees around the world"!

As per Matador Network, "Most people head to South Dakota for a glimpse of Mount Rushmore, but travelers visiting the state around Christmas can enjoy a walk through 90 Christmas trees on display at Christmas at the Capitol in Pierre."

Other displays mentioned by Matador include the Gubbio Christmas tree in Gubbio, Italy; Galeries Lafayette Christmas tree in Paris, France; and the Floating Christmas tree in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Christmas at the Capitol runs November 20th through December 25th and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
