The Most Beautiful Library In South Dakota Is Opening And You’ve Got To See Inside

Aberdeen just got a brand new library, and it's already won awards for its design. You've got to check this place out!

The new K.O. Aberdeen Public Library was designed by CO-OP Architecture, which won the 2017 AIA SD Honor Award and the People's Choice Award for its work. You'll see why the moment you walk through the door.

Many of the library's walls are made completely of windows, allowing plenty of natural light.

You'll find lots of little reading nooks throughout this light, bright space...

...and you'll love the whimsical children's area.

There's plenty of cozy seating for story time there, too.

Public computers and workstations make this a perfect place to get some work done.

The staff spent hours moving and unpacking the books here, so rest assured that you'll find exactly what you're looking for on the shelves.

The new library has self-checkout stations so that you can check out quickly and be on your way with your new stash of books.

The K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library is located at 215 Southeast 4th Avenue. It's open Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 9 PM; Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM; Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
