Dinosaur Park in Rapid City, South Dakota, offers lifesize dinosaur replicas, scenic views, and free admission.
Are you a lover of the prehistoric or know someone else with a fascination for dinosaurs? If so, South Dakota is the place to be, as we are not only home to the can't-miss Mammoth Site but also the fun and nostalgic Dinosaur Park:
Located in Rapid City, the aptly named Dinosaur Park is just that, an expansive outdoor attraction dedicated to SoDak's first residents!
Opened in 1936, the Dinosaur Park is nestled away just outside the city and is most famous for its lifesize replicas of a T-Rex, stegosaurus, triceratops, and more.
In addition to the replicas, Dinosaur Park also houses a gift shop and visitor's center complete with gifts and souvenirs, lunch and ice cream, fossils, and books.
Did we mention that Dinosaur Park also boasts one of the best lookouts in the Mount Rushmore State via 360-degree, 100-mile+ views?
