Rhode Island Daffodil Days Will Have Over 1,300,000 Flowers In Bloom This Spring

Spring often means beloved traditions, including spring festivals in Rhode Island. Stroll through Newport, where you’ll see hundreds of thousands of vibrant yellow daffodils. All of that cheerful gold is sure to add an extra spring to your step. Savor every moment of spring – and the beauty of daffodils – at this Rhode Island festival that’s jam-packed with activities.

April brings with it a few things – showers, as the old saying goes – and Newport’s Daffodil Days, an epic month-long celebration that boasts a jam-packed calendar of events and promises fun for all ages.

If you've been looking for spring festivals near me, you've found one of the most beloved in Rhode Island.

Daffodil Days kicks off on April 6, 2024, from noon to 12:30 p.m. with opening ceremonies hosted at the Clarke Cooke House. The event will feature a musket salute, activities, and live music.

Arguably the cutest event of the festival, the Annual Daffy Dog Paw-rade is set for April 6 at 12:30 p.m. Oohs and ahhs are pretty much guaranteed.

On April 20, there will be a lovely ice cream social at the beautiful McAuley Hall which has its own garden of delightful daffodils.

A daffodil bike ride and a marathon are also planned. On April 21, the Driving Miss Daffodil Decorated Car Rally will take place at Easton's Beach.

The final day of the month-long event will be on April 26, when there will be a Sip ‘n Shop at Sara Campbell, a fashion boutique focused on mindful women’s collections. Purchases will support Newport in Bloom.
