Kayak Providence offers kayaking tours in Providence and in Lincoln Woods State Park.
You can choose between a guided tour or simply rent a kayak. If you want a unique view of the city with a fascinating narrative, opt for the guided tour.
The guided tour really is a must do at least once. Chances are, once you've kayaked along the Providence River, you'll do so again - and again.
Tours last 90 minutes and are a great introduction to the city, if you're not from the Providence area. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
However, if you prefer the freedom to explore as you want, rent a kayak with Providence Kayak.
You can rent a single or a tandem kayak, and kiddos starting at age three can join in on the fun.
Like with guided tours, reservations are encouraged. However, you might hit paydirt if you just stop by on a whim and find there are kayaks available.
Wear clothes and shoes you're okay with getting wet and, if you have a well-behaved pup, bring him along for the adventure, too!
Keep an eye out, too, because sometimes evening kayak rentals are available. If you thought the views were spectacular during the daylight, wait until you see the skyline glittering against the night sky.
