Here Are The 6 Most Beautiful Bike Trails In Rhode Island
Biking is such a lovely way to take in the beautiful sites found all over the state. Lucky for us, Little Rhody has no shortage of outstanding biking paths. Here are 6 beautiful bike trails in Rhode Island to enjoy across the state.
1. East Bay Bike Path
The East Bay Bike Path spans more than 14 miles from India Point Park in Providence to Independence Park in Bristol. Not only is this bike path a useful addition to the state connecting various towns and neighborhoods, but also boasts beautiful and diverse views. It was the first multi-town bike path constructed in Little Rhody and continues to be everyone's favorite more than a decade later.
2. Blackstone River Bikeway
If you're looking for a mostly scenic path that includes stunning historical sites, look no further! This path follows the Blackstone River from Woonsocket to Cumberland and is the third longest at over 11 miles. Historic mills and waterfalls make up some of the beautiful scenery on this bike trip.
3. Washington Secondary Bike Path
Though the Washington Secondary Bike Path is currently the longest in the state at 19 miles, there are plans underway to extend it towards the border of Connecticut. It will be 24 miles total upon completion.
4. Fred Lippitt Woonasquatucket River Greenway
This Rhode Island bike path connects the cities of Johnston and Providence. With a beautiful view of the Woonasquatucket River and other stunning sites, this bike path is practical and magical!
5. South County Bike Path
The South County Bike Path stretches across almost 8 miles and connects numerous South County Towns. With a large percentage of the bike path found in Narraganset, this is an ideal route to travel to and from several beaches!
6. Quonset Bike Path
The Quonset Bike Path might be the most practical on the list. Running along Quonset Business Park, it provides an alternative route for workers and other North Kingstown community members.
We suggest taking a ride on each of these paths this summer!
