Oregon has no shortage of awesome college towns. However, in my personal opinion, there's a truly special one that really takes the cake: Corvallis. Charming Corvallis, Oregon, home to the Oregon State University (OSU), aka the Beavers, hits every spot on the superb college town wish list. Corvallis boasts a vibrant downtown, an inviting, livable community, wonderful dining and shopping, stunning natural beauty, and tons of school spirit. In fact, be sure to visit the massive OSU Beaver Store.

So, next time you're in the mood to tour an inviting college town, be sure to visit Corvallis.

Corvallis sits in gorgeous Benton County in central western Oregon, surrounded by mountains, trees, and rivers.

The scenic Willamette River runs adjacent to downtown.

This small but vibrant community has a population of close to 100,000 people.

Corvallis is the county seat of Benton County and home to the historic Benton County Courthouse.

Corvallis is located in the lovely Central Willamette Valley. Take a detour to visit some of the country's world-class wineries.

Take a stroll across Oregon State University's campus. OSU is a superb school with outstanding programs, a dynamic student body, and a beautiful campus.

Some of the fields OSU is best known for include civil engineering, public health, biomedicine, and agriculture.

Explore Corvallis' downtown streets where you'll find a plethora of unique shops and restaurants.

Stop for dinner at del Alma Restaurant for delicious upscale Latin American-inspired cuisine.

There are lots of cultural, sporting, and academic events at OSU, Additionally, check out the seasonal Corvallis Farmers Market held on Wednesdays and Saturdays on First Street. For shopping, try Sibling Revelry, a delightful boutique that stocks clothing and accessories for men and women. Another great option is Clothes Tree, which showcases a great selection of women's apparel and has been dressing Corvallis since 1962!
