There's something especially magical about soaking outdoors in a natural warm-water spring, surrounded by a snowy landscape. If you're in need of some rest and rejuvenation this season, head to Breitenbush Hot Springs in Detroit (Detroit, Oregon this is!) Come along with us as we show you why we think it is one of the best hot springs in Oregon!
When life seems overwhelming, and you're ready for a break to relax and recharge...
... Breitenbush Hot Springs is the place to be. This retreat focuses on helping people bring their lives back into balance.
The retreat is open year-round, and the landscape is absolutely stunning during the winter months, when it's covered by a blanket of snow.
The 154-acre property includes a lodge, guest cabins, a kitchen and dining room, spiral pools, a fire circle, a sweat lodge, campsites, a gift shop, and three hot spring pools with a sauna.
You'll find the hot springs pools near the entrance of the retreat.
There are three to choose from: Silent Pool, Middle Pool, and Near Pool. Sit and relax, surrounded by the snowy Oregon landscape!
Each pool has its own vibe, too.
The Silent Pool is a special place for quiet reflection, and it sits right next to the river. The other two pools allow guests to chat quietly, and both offer meadow and mountain views.
The temperature in the pools varies, from warm to quite hot.
The sauna nearby gets its steam from the hot pool directly below it. The pools and sauna are clothing-optional, and most guests here do not wear bathing suits.
Snuggle into a rustic cabin. They're cozy and warm with geothermal heat, and some have sinks and toilets inside. Bathhouses are nearby for guests who choose cabins without plumbing.
Bathhouses are nearby for guests who choose rustic cabins without plumbing. All cabins all have at least one double bed, and some also offer bunk beds, or an additional twin bed for more guests.
There's no phone service, cell service, or Wi-Fi on the property...
... making it possible for you to truly disconnect with the world outside and focus on finding your own peace and quiet off the grid.
Breitenbush Hot Springs Retreat offers personal retreats, workshops, overnight stays, and day visits. You'll need a reservation to visit, even if you're just stopping by to soak during the day.
