The Damascus Pioneer Cemetery is old - very old. In fact, no one is sure when people first started burying people here, but it was sometime before 1855.

The land it sits on was first deeded for cemetery use in 1876, and in 1895, the Damascus Cemetery Association was formed.

People can still be buried here today if they choose.

Some of the graves are well over 100 years old or more.

We love the intriguing antiquated headstones with their interesting and spooky art.

Plan on being some of the only living people at this haunted cemetery, as it is almost always deserted.

We aren't supposed to enter the cemetery after dark - but why would we?
