Here Are 15 Things Everyone In Oklahoma Absolutely Loves

What are the most common things that Oklahomans have an affinity for?  Probably not seaweed and surfing in this state. Mention barbecue and hunting and you will tug on the heartstrings of Okies. Here are the most common things we all love in the Sooner state:

1. Fall...We finally cool off and get to enjoy the vibrant colors of fall.

2. Lakes...We have many beautiful ones to choose from.

3. State Fairs...A favorite Oklahoma tradition.

4. Home Cooking...A nice meal at home with the family makes us feel warm and cozy.

5. Country Music...Of course.

6. Air Conditioning...Our best friend in summer.

7. Fishing...With all the great fishing spots in Oklahoma who wouldn't love to cast a line?

8. Big Trucks...You can't have cowboys and cowgirls without big trucks.

9. Barbecue...We know how to cook it and eat it.

10. Our College Sports Teams...We are loyal year-round.

11. Hunting...this is hunting country around here.

12. Our Universities...Oklahoma has many great choices for higher education.

13. Our Thunder...We are proud of our NBA basketball team.

14. Fried Food...We probably love it too much.

15. Friends and Family...Because that's what's most important.
