For 30 years, the Chickasha Festival of Light has brightened the holiday season with its impressive lights show. The season typically runs from mid-November through New Year's.
Each year, the festivities seem to grow bigger and bigger, filling Chickasha's beautiful downtown with lights, entertainment, food trucks, Santa visits, pop-up shops, and more.
There is no charge to drive or walk thru the lights but there are additional activities that are fee-based if you want to experience them.
...like ice skating or the Ferris wheel, carousel, and carriage rides. Be sure to bundle up, as it can get cold out on the ice or up on the ride.
Chickasha’s Festival of Light in Oklahoma has been lighting up the 43-acre Shannon Springs Park for some 30 years and it's a holiday tradition you don't want to miss.
The centerpiece of the park is a 172-foot Christmas tree that stands above everything else. There are more than 100 festive light scenes, animated light displays, and synchronized light and music shows.
The Festival of Light features over 3.5 million lights and draws in more than 250,000 visitors from around the world every year. You can enjoy the lights from the comfort of your own vehicle or get out and walk along the paths. Either way, it will be an experience you won't forget.
