Wintertime is a busy season, but there's always just enough free time to stop in The Land for annual festivities. Each year, visitors flock to University Circle in early December to experience Holiday CircleFest in Cleveland. This event combines everything lovable about the season into one incredible and humbling attraction. Of course, one of the most beloved pastimes is the lantern procession toward the end of the night. The Winter Lights Lantern Festival and Holiday CircleFest event is a highly anticipated annual event in Cleveland.

This awesome event ranges from the heart of University Circle into the Cleveland Cultural Gardens.

Holiday CircleFest is hosted by University Circle Inc., and each year it grows bigger and better.

All sorts of festivities are added each year. From ice carving demonstrations to free carriage rides, this event will truly get you into the holiday spirit.

During this event, more than a dozen of University Circle's finest institutions open their doors to the public.

The event usually takes place on the first Sunday in December. Live music, photos with Santa, and fire and light performances are always oodles of fun.

From live music to interactive events, there's so much to do at this annual event!

And, of course, much of it is free. Bring a bit of cash, however, as a few attractions may require a small charge.

Throughout the festivities, the Cleveland Museum of Art will host lantern-focused festivities.

Inspired by cross-cultural holiday traditions, this awesome attraction fills you up with warmth worthy of a Yule log.

And the free lantern making attraction operating from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. is adored by children and adults alike.

You'll find yourself driven and inspired by the warm glow of these wintertime lanterns. Seeing them light up The Land is magical!

The fun starts at 1 p.m., but it culminates at 5 p.m. with an incredible procession featuring lights and community-made lanterns.

This wintertime parade is downright magical, and you never know which friends and neighbors you'll bump into during the festivities!

Can't make this event? Be sure to check out their annual ice skating rink throughout the winter season.

The ice skating rink operates each year from early December through mid-February. The rink will be open during CircleFest, operating from noon to 7 p.m., offering free admission and skate rentals.
