Is there anything more magical than an evening on the shore of Lake Erie? The answer is yes. This summer, prepare for dreamy sunsets, balmy evenings, and the sound of the emotional waves of the lake. Oh, and one incredible water lantern festival. Yes, in just a few months, one night in the Summer of 2019 will become one of your most cherished memories. Prepare for adventure, because this epic festival is one you won't want to miss.

Voinovich Bicentennial Park is a small urban park that features some of the most unique scenery in Cleveland.

Voinovich Bicentennial Park is located at the northern end of the East 9th Street Pier, and it's a minuscule 4.5-acre lot. However, its inspiring landscaping and killer views of Downtown Cleveland make it unlike any other park in the region.

And as the sun goes down, there's no lovelier place to be than on the shore of Lake Erie.

As the sun melts into the horizon and the city lights begin to reflect off the water, the landscape becomes more and more magical. Now, close your eyes and imagine this scene infused with paper lanterns.

This summer, this enchanting lakefront scene will be enhanced with the help of the Water Lantern Festival.

Water Lantern Festival is a traveling event that enchants the residents of cities all around the United States. This year, they're bringing their epic lantern celebration to Cleveland, and locals are ecstatic.

This event brings communities together as one family, offering attendees the opportunity to decorate and release paper lanterns.

Tickets are selling for $30 through the end of May, though the price raises for late and day of tickets. For a short time, you can take advantage of the Early Bird price or a discount code at the event website.

The event begins at 6 p.m., welcoming visitors with food trucks, music, and fun.

Until 9 p.m., you can enjoy meals from some of the most popular food trucks in Cleveland while you watch the sun set over The Land.

After you relax for a bit, you'll have the chance to launch your lantern.

It's absolutely magical to see hundreds of lanterns lighting up the lake, and it's even more so when you consider the sustainability efforts that the Water Lantern Festival is committed to. They use lanterns of rice paper and wood, which are eco-friendly and ensure that the event is not significantly disturbing lake life.

The event organizers go through the effort of cleaning up the lake the following day... and I do mean the lake.

If you are ready to attend this epic event, mark your calendar for June 15.

Clevelanders are already hyped for this event, and many have secured their tickets. You can reserve yours here.
