Tucked away in a town known for its uniquely shaped bridge, Zanesville's Vasehenge is a roadside oddity that's colorful, quirky and even historic. What looks like a peculiar roadside attraction is actually a tribute to what was once the pottery capital of America.
Hiding in downtown Zanesville at the foot of the famous Y Bridge, you'll find a roadside attraction known to locals as Vasehenge.

A total of 18 giant pottery vases stand in a circle, each uniquely painted and mimicking the world famous Stonehenge.
Paying homage to the town's history of an abundance clay deposits and the town's largest employer, Weller Pottery, this quirky display is actually a loving tribute.
According to Atlas Obscura, Zabesville was the former pottery capital of the United States.
Be sure to snap a selfie or two while exploring! Each vase stands just a bit taller than the average human.
Right behind the display, you'll find one of the rarest bridges you'll ever cross.
The three-way Y Bridge carries the traffic of U.S. Route 40 (Main Street and West Main Street) and Linden Avenue.
It's one of the few bridges in the world that you can cross and still be on the same side of the river.
According to Atlas Obscura, Amelia Earhart considered Zanesville "the most recognizable city in the country" because of its uniquely shaped bridge.
