There is no shortage of things to do in Cleveland, but sometimes a little variety is necessary. While it's fairly commonplace to spend an afternoon in the Cleveland Museum of Art or to throw a Frisbee around in one of the Emerald Necklace parks, these eleven attractions are a little more off the beaten path.

1. Jump around in a giant room full of trampolines at Sky Zone (31500 Viking Pkwy, Westlake)

There are three different Sky Zone locations in the Cleveland area, and they all offer the same gravity-defying fun. You can play basketball on trampolines, perform complicated gymnastics routines, or just let your inner child loose and jump around.

2. Watch the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall (11001 Euclid Ave)

Cleveland's orchestra is internationally recognized as one of the best in the world. And the best place to see them perform is the ornate environment at Severance Hall, where the rich acoustics make the force of the music come alive.

Over 80,000 records come out of the Gotta Groove factory every year, so be on the lookout for your favorite album when you go.

6. Browse an art gallery on Third Fridays at the 78th Street Studio (1300 W 78th St)

Looking to indulge your artistic side? This massive art facility, home to over 60 galleries, hosts open tours on the third Friday of every month. Everything from paintings to sculptures to abstract art can be found at the 78th Street Studios, so you'll have to make a few trips to see it all.

7. Watch a wrestling show at Absolute Intense Wrestling

If your idea of entertainment is something with a little more intensity, AIW is the place for you. Absolute Intense Wrestling is an independent promotion based in Cleveland. They host events at least once a month, and everyone from modern day superstars like AJ Styles and Seth Rollins to old-school legends like Jake "The Snake" Roberts have had matches there, so be sure to check out a show sometime.

8. Visit the Hessler Street Fair

Founded in 1969, the Hessler Street Fair is a Cleveland tradition and represents the unofficial start to the summer season for many Clevelanders. Food trucks, art, music, and a ton of other fun, exciting attractions make this University Circle festival a must-visit this June.

9. Go to an indoor Amusement Park at I-X (1 I-X Center Dr)

While you might think an amusement park is an exclusively outdoor attraction, you've never been to an one quite like this. I-X is located inside a truly massive warehouse, packing all the fun of an amusement park into a sprawling indoor space. You haven't lived until you've been on a ferris wheel that nearly scrapes the roof.

10. Explore the world at the Great Lakes Science Center (601 Erieside Ave)

This interactive museum and learning center is packed with exhibits dedicated to everything from astronomy to geology. Its location right on the Lake Erie coast makes it a prime spot to learn all about the science behind the lake and its vibrant life.

11. Take in a speech and ask questions at the City Club (850 Euclid Ave)

One of the oldest free speech advocacy organizations in the Midwest, the City Club of Cleveland hosts a wide variety of guest speakers. Luminaries ranging from Nobel Prize winners to Indians manager Terry Francona have given talks here, and there's always time at the end for questions from the audience.
