There is no shortage of things to do in Cleveland, but sometimes a little variety is necessary. While it's fairly commonplace to spend an afternoon in the Cleveland Museum of Art or to throw a Frisbee around in one of the Emerald Necklace parks, these eleven attractions are a little more off the beaten path.

Looking to indulge your artistic side? This massive art facility, home to over 60 galleries, hosts open tours on the third Friday of every month. Everything from paintings to sculptures to abstract art can be found at the 78th Street Studios, so you'll have to make a few trips to see it all.

7. Watch a wrestling show at Absolute Intense Wrestling

If your idea of entertainment is something with a little more intensity, AIW is the place for you. Absolute Intense Wrestling is an independent promotion based in Cleveland. They host events at least once a month, and everyone from modern day superstars like AJ Styles and Seth Rollins to old-school legends like Jake "The Snake" Roberts have had matches there, so be sure to check out a show sometime.

8. Visit the Hessler Street Fair

Founded in 1969, the Hessler Street Fair is a Cleveland tradition and represents the unofficial start to the summer season for many Clevelanders. Food trucks, art, music, and a ton of other fun, exciting attractions make this University Circle festival a must-visit this June.

9. Go to an indoor Amusement Park at I-X (1 I-X Center Dr)

While you might think an amusement park is an exclusively outdoor attraction, you've never been to an one quite like this. I-X is located inside a truly massive warehouse, packing all the fun of an amusement park into a sprawling indoor space. You haven't lived until you've been on a ferris wheel that nearly scrapes the roof.

10. Explore the world at the Great Lakes Science Center (601 Erieside Ave)

This interactive museum and learning center is packed with exhibits dedicated to everything from astronomy to geology. Its location right on the Lake Erie coast makes it a prime spot to learn all about the science behind the lake and its vibrant life.

One of the oldest free speech advocacy organizations in the Midwest, the City Club of Cleveland hosts a wide variety of guest speakers.
