The Chapel In Cleveland That’s Located In The Most Unforgettable Setting

The most impressive chapel in Cleveland goes to the Wade Memorial Chapel. It is set in the picturesque Lake View Cemetery in University Circle. The cemetery is famous for being the final resting place of President James A. Garfield. His imposing memorial typically takes center stage on visits to Lake View, but the Wade Chapel is a must-see. The interior is totally unique in the world, and the beautiful surrounds of the cemetery are the perfect location.

Nestled in the trees, the Wade Memorial Chapel was built in honor of the first president of Lake View Cemetery. Built in 1901, the Neo-Classical chapel is on the National Register of Historical Places.

The bronze doors are 4 tons, protecting the priceless interior. It has one of few interiors left in the world that was totally designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany.

The interior is elaborately and lavishly decorated, with mosaics and prize-winning stained glass pieces.

The frescoes tell the story of 'The Voyage of Life'

The chapel is surrounded by lush trees and grass, in one of the most serene spots in the city.
