A Harry Potter festival in Ohio offers an opportunity for all wizards to happily gather, where the butter beer is plentiful, and where you can stroll down Diagon Alley. Although Ohio is no stranger to some pretty epic small-town festivals, Kent takes the concept to a whole other level with the Wizardly World of Kent (formerly Kent Potterfest.) During one unbelievable weekend in July, the small town transforms into a delightful wonderland that will bring out your inner wizard.

The Wizardly World of Kent takes place on July 19-20, 2024, in downtown Kent, Ohio.

It's a Harry Potter fan's dream come true as Acorn Alley becomes Diagon Alley for the day!

And all the wizards gather together in the streets and shops to see and be seen at this spectacular Ohio Harry Potter Festival.

So come dressed in your best Hogwarts attire, because you might win a prize in the costume contest. Unless people mistake you for the real deal!

More than 40 local businesses in the town take on the identity of shops from the Harry Potter books.

And the free event will also feature potion classes, crafts, face painting, and other exciting activities.

Some restaurants and bakeries serve special menu items in the spirit of the festival, such as this Chocolate Frog Cheesecake which we find magically delicious

And you might just find some butter beer, if you're lucky.

Outside, you'll find several activities, magic shows, and other live entertainment!

You'll also see several event-themed vendors, photo booths, and more exciting sights.
