Now that the month of September has arrived and the temperatures are starting to cool down, you're probably thinking about ways you can embrace the fall season that's just around the corner. MacQueen's Apple Barn and Cider Mill in Holland, Ohio is the picture perfect place to pick your own apples, browse the pumpkin selection and take home some delicious apple cider.

From mid-September to the third week in October, you can drive around the orchard and pick your own apples.
There are Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Jonathan, Granny Smith and Ida Red at MacQueen's Apple Orchard.
After you prepay, you're given a ticket and bags according to how many apples you want to pick. Apples are priced by the 1/2 bushel.

You can also choose from apples that have already been picked and sorted. Whatever option you choose—don't leave without some delicious apple cider.

Depending on when you visit, you might even get to play some games and partake in different family activities.
From August - October, MacQueen's Apple Barn and Cider Mill is open daily from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The Apple Butter Stir Festival also takes place on October 5 - 6 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. each day. It features live entertainment, kid rides, a craft show, petting zoo, pick-your-own apples and so much more.
