The Crocker Park Holiday Skating Rink Makes Cleveland Winters Magical
Crocker Park in Westlake offers a magical winter experience with ice skating, holiday lights, and festive attractions.
Nothing says "the holidays are here" quite like recreating a Hallmark movie by enjoying the offerings of the season. You know exactly what I mean... making snowmen, hot cocoa by the fire, and ice skating. Fortunately, there's a superabundance of the latter in and around Greater Cleveland throughout the winter. One of the most exciting places to go ice skating near Cleveland is the Crocker Park Skating Rink in Westlake, and it's truly fun for the whole family. This is the perfect place to spend some time outside and then warm up with hot food! Embrace the winter season at this cool spot:
When it comes to shopping, Crocker Park is one of the best places you can possibly go in Greater Cleveland.
This interesting open-air mall is packed to the brim with boutique stores, candy shops, restaurants, green spaces, and so much more.
As the holidays approach, its landscape grows more magical by the day.
Holiday lights, window displays, and bundled up window shoppers invoke memories of the golden age of shopping in Downtown Cleveland.
The crown jewel of the landscape is their 50-foot-tall tree, but there's a diamond hiding right around the corner...
This tree is choreographed to holiday tunes, making it a particularly striking sight. For years, locals have enjoyed watching the tree lighting at the end of November. To some, this is the first true sign that the holiday season is here and in full swing!
Each year, locals also look forward to the opening of Crocker Park's skating rink, which is presented by the Cleveland Monsters.
Located in Union Square near Nordstrom Rack and Regal Cinema, this spot offers a fun way to slip, slide, and glide your way into a season of fun.
Entry to this fun attraction is $8, and skate rentals are only an extra $3.
While some holiday attractions can get pricey, this one truly isn't too bad... especially if you're a parent looking to supervise but not to skate. This is a dreamy place for a date, too!
The skating rink is open from noon to 9 p.m. on Fridays & Saturdays and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
As you can tell, things get colorful as night falls in Crocker Park. The wind can be unforgiving, however, so remember to bundle up!
As fun as this spot is, it's actually one of several attractions that makes Crocker Park a real-life winter wonderland.
Think Disney is the happiest place on Earth? Wait until you explore all that Crocker Park has to offer. Its tree garden has historically been a hit with locals, and many stores in the area add to the holiday vibe with their own décor.
And, of course, there's always the Toy Train Town, too!
The Toy Train Town is an annual attraction that's free and open to the public. Typically, you can visit this spot from late November through late December.
