Have you made any travel plans for 2021 yet? This year, consider traveling close to home and take some time to explore one of Ohio's most progressive and revitalized cities. Cincinnati was recently named one of Travel + Leisure's 50 Best Places To Travel In 2021. It's a recognition that leaves us both proud and humbled. (But mostly proud.)
Cincinnati, Ohio was ranked #11 in Travel + Leisure's 50 Best Places To Travel In 2021—and it's undoubtedly a well-deserved recognition.
Specifically, the city was chosen for its urban revival, renowned attractions, exceptional dining and economic progress.
Known for its scenic bridges, the Great American Ball Park and an impressive comeback story, the Queen City is one of Ohio's most beloved cities.
Tech start-ups and small businesses abound in this beautiful city, but there's much more than an economic comeback happening here.
There's plenty to see and do in Cincinnati. First off, the Ohio River Walk is a must-do. Take some time to play and enjoy the view from Smale Riverfront Park.
The path is paved and easy to follow, making it perfect for runners, walking families and wheelchairs.
You'll also find excellent accommodations and fine wining and dining in the Queen City.
Tucked between downtown Cincinnati and the beloved Over The Rhine neighborhood, the newly renovated Kinley is THE place to stay.
Recently, USA Today ranked the 10 best zoos in America and Ohio’s very own Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden came in at number 2.
The Cincinnati Zoo was ranked highly for its impressive history, exceptionally designed exhibits and world famous animal friends.
Additionally, the city is always working on new ways to improve existing attractions, such as The Art Climb, which was installed in the summer of 2020 at the Cincinnati Art Museum.
Several flights of stairs and spacious landings span about 450 feet, connecting the Cincinnati Art Museum to the surrounding neighborhood. Light poles, sculptures and beautiful landscaping make the journey up (or down) quite scenic.
Lastly, the revitalized Over The Rhine neighborhood makes the city even more attractive to visitors. The historic buildings shine again and the shopping and dining is exceptional.
If there's any city that can be deemed a trendsetter, it's definitely Cincy.
