ARTneo: The Museum of Northeast Ohio Art is a unique destination that celebrates local culture by displaying visual art from Northeast Ohio artists.
This fascinating collection of art was founded by artists and art allies in 1984 under the name of the Cleveland Artists Foundation. Originally, the focus was on a collective of art known as the "Cleveland School," but today the collection reflects the finesse of modern artists, too.
Tucked away in Gordon Square, this quirky and culturally rich destination exhibits art in a way that is immediately eye-catching.
The hope of this local museum is to educate "about the significant visual art of the Northeast Ohio region," according to its Facebook page. Any visit to this local landmark is definitely an educational experience... but it's an inspirational one, too.
Its most recent exhibitions have highlighted significant area artists active within the last 50 years, and each artist brings a distinct style to this hidden gem of a museum.
