Bridges get us from one place to the next, when usually, we wouldn't have that option. From the mountains to the beach, they allow us to adventure and explore uncharted territory. While some bridges are pretty normal, some really standout and are simply gorgeous. Here are 11 found in North Carolina.

1. Bunker Hill Covered Bridge, Claremont

This skinny suspension bridge will take you above and across rushing water.

11. Linn Cove Viaduct, Blue Ridge Parkway

Not technically a 'bridge' the Linn Cove Viaduct dangles you over the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains for some breathtaking scenery.
