1. Ride bikes on water, ice, or pavement!

Head out on two wheels to explore the city streets, waterways, or ice skating rinks. We have it all here in Buffalo, no matter the season! Most of the bikes can be found in one place: Canalside.

2. Spend the night in a yurt.

Rough it (without REALLY roughing it) at one of Western New York's most beautiful campgrounds at Evangola State Park.

3. Take to the water.

Experience Buffalo from a different perspective by leaving land and heading to the water. There are several boat tours available along the shores of Lake Erie, but this one offers some of the best views. Take a look at this stunning aerial footage to see just how beautiful the Spirit of Buffalo is!

4. Go on a safari.

Yes, you read that right! This incredible safari tour just south of the City of Buffalo is a must-see! Curious to see what this animal safari adventure in New York is really like? Watch the video below for a first-hand tour!

5. Trolley to local Frank Lloyd Wright masterpieces.

The "All Wright, All Day" tour is an incredible experience for local architecture lovers. We give this one two thumbs way up!

6. Enjoy the elements in winter

Instead of complaining about winter weather, embrace it! There are several outdoor activities to partake in when the snow flies. One of our favorites is snowshoeing at Tifft Nature Preserve.

7. Tour a haunted naval ship.

U.S.S. The Sullivans is said to be haunted, and you can experience it firsthand at the Buffalo Naval Park! Book a tour of this historic ship and you'll gain lots of knowledge (and maybe a ghostly friend or two). 8. Stroll down Millionaire's Row.

Buffalo is home to some seriously impressive mansions. Most of them are located on one street, appropriately nicknamed "Millionaire's Row".

9. Eat breakfast in an old train car.

Editor's Note: Unfortunately, this local diner has permanently closed.

There are several unique places to eat in Buffalo. One of the most popular is Lake Effect Diner, which is located in a restored train car. The interior appeal is almost as impressive as their tasty food!
