Everyone In New Mexico Should Visit This Epic Flea Market At Least Once

Whatever your interest, New Mexico's largest open-air market is bound to have it. Located in Albuquerque at the Expo New Mexico Fairgrounds is a large flea market that operates year-round, weather permitting. The state fair has lots of attractions, and you should check out all of them, but the open-air market is really a special treasure-hunting experience. The New Mexico state fair is a successful annual event that runs for 10 days at the state's fairgrounds in Albuquerque each September. But the flea market at the site is open year-round.

The permanent flea market has been operating successfully for over 40 years, and regulars return often for the diversity of items for sale and affordable prices. This is great news, because it means once you get hooked on this market (and you will), you can go back any time throughout the year!

The large outdoor flea market helps to bolster the attendance of visitors attending special events and celebrations throughout the year.

It's an attraction in and of itself and only helps make the state fair activities more attractive to visitors.

Flea market shoppers can park at Gate 3 and pay $5 per car, with all occupants receiving free admission into the flea market.

They can also park free at the lot at Central and California streets and pay $1 per person for admission. It's an amazing deal any way you look at it.

The flea market is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Items for sale here include the whimsical, wearables, art, tools, jewelry, and food items. Locally-grown items are often sold here as well. You'll find the usual flea market mix of vintage and antique items as well as things made by local artists and business owners.

Find the Expo New Mexico and outdoor flea market at 300 San Pedro Dr. N.E. in Albuquerque, NM. Rentable wheelchairs, wagons, and walkers are available for use on the Flea Market grounds for a small fee. The market is pet-friendly, but dogs must be kept on a leash.
