Hot Air Balloons Will Be Soaring At New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning
It's been a tough year, but it seems like better times are on the horizon. At the very least, hundreds of hot air balloons are. That's right: The 38th Annual New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning in Association with PNC Bank is happening this summer!
The New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning is a really big deal.
It's the largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America, after all!
This summer is the 38th annual one to be held. It's a state tradition at this point!
This year, it will be held from Friday, July 23 to Sunday, July 25.
It is so, so pretty to look up in the sky and see all these colorful hot air balloons soaring above you!
And yes, you can get a ride yourself on one of these hot air balloons – wind and weather permitting, of course.
It's fun for the whole family to attend the festival, check out the hot air balloons, and enjoy the music and food. There are also crafters and vendors hawking their wares, concerts, and fireworks!
The balloon festival is being held at Solberg Airport in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey — conveniently close to both Philadelphia and New York City.
100 balloons of all shapes, sizes, and colors ascend twice a day during the festival.
Basically, it's just going to be days of enjoying being outdoors in the summertime and seeing the balloons.
It's going to be a truly magical event!
Plus, it's pretty affordable to attend — if you buy now, it's $26 per person to attend but only $8 for children under the age of 12 (kids 3 and under are free!).
