Cape May Lighthouse is a gorgeous, historic lighthouse located in Cape May, New Jersey.

It was built all the way back in 1859 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The lighthouse is still operational to this day — and you can visit it!

Along the climb, you're entertained by panels that tell the story of the lighthouse, the surrounding area, and past lighthouse keepers.

And you can also get some interesting views from the peepholes. I stopped at each and every one to look...and take a breather!

At the top of the 157-foot building, you're greeted by an absolutely incredible view.

You get panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Delaware Bay, and the surrounding area. On a clear day, you can even see into Delaware! Who knew that visiting Cape May Lighthouse would let you see into Delaware? Now we both do!
