On the outside, Henderson's Foxridge Park looks like any other regular ol' city park. Complete with a play area, BBQ areas, basketball courts, and large fields, there's really nothing out of the ordinary about this place. However, ghost enthusiasts will tell you that it is a hot spot for paranormal activity.
Once night falls, this Henderson haunted park takes on an entirely different character. Multiple paranormal enthusiasts have spent the night at this park in an attempt to make a connection with the spirits that are known to lurk here. Specifically, it's believed that the playground is haunted by the ghost of a small boy.
Supposedly, the boy was tragically killed in a drunk driving accident. He makes his presence known in the park by playing on the swings. Some people have witnessed seeing the swing move by itself late at night. However, he doesn't like being watched. If you look him in the eyes, it's believed he'll turn into a "demon" and vanish.
The swing doesn't just slightly move. Witnesses have reported seeing it swing back and forth as if somebody was sitting on it. There are also stories of the boy simply walking around the park during the night and vanishing upon being spotted by living eyes.
There have also been stories about other, lesser-known shadowy figures moving around the playground after dark. Most common among visitors is a sense of unease or a feeling of being watched while in the park at night.
There's been no solid evidence to prove that the story of the boy is anything more than just an eerie legend. However, the folklore surrounding this "haunted playground" is certainly enough to make you think twice before visiting this park at nighttime!
