Lee's Legendary Marbles in York, Nebraska, offers the world's largest collection of collectible marbles and other antiques, making it a unique destination for enthusiasts and families.

Do you remember playing with marbles when you were a kid? If you're above a certain age, shooting marbles was probably one of your favorite childhood activities. There's a marble museum in Nebraska that keeps the fun pastime alive and fills you with the sense of wonder you no doubt felt when rifling through your own marble collection so many years ago.

Lee's Legendary Marbles in York is the only museum in the region dedicated to this classic hobby. It's been in operation since 2001, and in that time has delighted countless visitors.

Inside, you'll find the largest collection of collectible marbles on the planet. They're everywhere - packed into display cases and poured into jars and buckets, adorning every corner of the main building.

Nebraska’s New Interactive Science Museum Offers Tons Of Fun For All Ages

For anyone who wants to dream, play, wonder, and explore, Kiewit Luminarium in Omaha is where you need to go. This new attraction is a unique interactive science museum where creativity, imagination, learning, and excitement all come together with more than 100 interactive exhibits. Grab your friends and family, because this is a day trip destination in Nebraska that you’ll want to relive over and over again.

Welcome to the Kiewit Luminarium.

This new destination is located on Omaha’s RiverFront, and it will change the way you think about the world around you.

This interactive science museum is 82,000 square feet and took several years to build.

It opened in 2023 and has quickly become a place for locals and tourists, alike, to learn and play in Omaha.

As you walk around, you’ll find more than 100 interactive exhibits to help you discover and explore.

With so much to do and see, it is easy for individuals of all ages to spend hours here and gain newfound knowledge.

The Kiewit Luminarium is open Wednesdays through Mondays. It is closed on Tuesdays. It also offers an adult-only time slot from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday evenings. Tickets are based on age and kids four and under are free.

When you want to get out of the house and explore, there are dozens of places that we recommend in Nebraska. From state parks to unique hikes, the Cornhusker State is full of things to see and do. But sometimes, the weather doesn’t want to cooperate and you want to go someplace unique, fascinating, and indoors. The Museum of American Speed in Lincon is all of that and so much more. This 135,000-square-foot facility will give you a newfound love for speed. It’s one museum in Nebraska that every member of the family will love.

The Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed is located on Oakcreek Drive in Lincoln. It was founded in 1992 by “Speedy” Bill and Joyce Smith and many exhibits in this museum are the result of the Smith's involvement in racing for more than 60 years.

This is no small museum and every inch is designed to preserve, educate, and display items that relate to racing and the automotive industry. This is one of the fastest growing museums in the country and you’ll certainly want plenty of time to explore.

As you walk around, you’ll see more than 150 vehicles and 600 engine displays. New exhibits open often so visiting once won’t be enough — you’ll want to visit frequently to see everything new.

There are three floors open for self-guided tours. As you walk, take your time and really learn about each item you see — this collection isn’t like anything else in the Cornhusker State. If you’d like, guided tours are available on weekdays at 1 p.m.
