The Virginia High Bridge is the tallest bridge in Minnesota! It is in Virginia, Minnesota, about 200 miles north of Minneapolis, in Minnesota's Iron Range region.
The bridge is also one of Minnesota's newest. Construction began in 2015. After two years, it was finally opened to traffic in 2017.
So how tall is the Virginia High Bridge? It rises 200 feet above a manmade mine lake called Rouchleau. As a part of US 52, you can see the beautiful view any time you drive over.
The bridge is made for cars, but it has bike and pedestrian lanes, too. ATV traffic is also allowed over the bridge.
Slower travel across the bridge is definitely recommended! It will give you time to take in the beautiful sight.
