In the Land of 10,000 Lakes, there are endless ways to experience the state's glorious fall colors. You can take a simple hike, go on a fall foliage road trip, or take a train ride through the changing leaves - to name a few. One of our favorite ways to see the colors is from above. There's one breathtaking gondola ride in Minnesota that will show you the fall colors like you've never seen them before. Here's what you need to know:
The Summit Express Gondola is located in northern Minnesota at Lutsen Mountains. You'll find it at 455 Ski Hill Rd., Lutsen, MN 55612.
The gondola ride is an annual tradition for many. It can be accessed at any time of year, but the most beautiful time is definitely fall.
The gondola will take you high above the landscape, offering breathtaking views of the North Shore and the Sawtooth Mountains.
The final stop is the top of Moose Mountain, but you'll see plenty more from your vantage point. You'll be 1,000 feet above Lake Superior!
The fall leaves are incredibly beautiful, with peak season approaching day by day.
In addition to gorgeous fall foliage, you'll ride over the Poplar River. You may also see animals. Moose, bears, deer, and many more animals have been spotted from the gondola ride.
But even if you don't see any animals, the view from the gondola is enough. The blazing red, orange, and yellow leaves are simply breathtaking.
The gondola ride prices range from $14 to $22 depending on age. If you can make it up that way, it's well worth the cost!
