The Swing Park is a creation of BeInTween.
BeInTween is a group of urban improvisationalists who started the swing park as a pop up park to add purpose and playfulness to pedestrians passing by.
The City of Milwaukee took over the park two years after its installation.
After much controversy between the city and the beloved swing park, as well as an initiative called "Save The Swings," the city officially reinstalled the structure and a ribbon-cutting commenced. Now, they even hold events where they project movies on the wall in the summer!
Now, people passing by enjoy the swings.
The Swing Park adds a little fun to your day and brings life to parts of our city that need it most. Whether you're flying through the air on a tire or relaxing on a bench swing, the Swing Park has something for everyone.
