Located on the 194-acre Frank Knowles-Little River Reserve, this suspension bridge is just the right length and height to give your stomach a case of the flutters.

It passes over a small valley strewn with gorgeous flora and boulders.

The bridge is suspended by cables and has netted sides. The lovely view and slight wobble may make your breath catch.

The reserve also includes a walking trail with over 700 feet of suspended boardwalk.

The trail offers a viewing platform that elevates hikers 15 feet above a red maple swamp, benches for sitting and admiring the salt marsh vistas and a path across waves of Spartina and saltgrass mixed with sea lavender.

There are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore at this beautiful natural park.

The Frank Knowles-Little River Reserve can be found on Potomska Road in South Dartmouth, MA. The parking lot and trailhead are 9/10ths of a mile north of the Lloyd Center entrance or 7/10ths of a mile south of the intersection of Potomska, Rock O’Dundee and Gaffney Roads.
