The Holiday Express Train Visits More Than 20 Cities In America And Is Making A Stop In Louisiana This Year

When it comes to the holidays, Louisiana pulls out all the stops. For Christmas lights, towns like Natchitoches and the Acadian Village are absolutely enchanting, and who wouldn't want to take a stroll through Celebration in the Oaks during the holiday season? There's one extra special holiday attraction that's coming to Louisiana this year, and you're not going to want to miss it. The Holiday Express Train in Louisiana is coming again this season, as it makes its way across the country. It will be stopping in Shreveport on November 29, 2023, so hopefully you won't have to travel far to see this incredible holiday display. All aboard!

The CPKC HolidayTrain is coming to Louisiana this season!

This is one annual event you don’t want to miss!

The train is making stops in multiple cities across the country.

It's brief but no less wonderful stop in Louisiana will be on November 29, 2023 in Shreveport.

The Holiday Express was created in 1999 when volunteers decided to transform retired rail cars into this chanting holiday attraction.

Kids and adults will be mesmerized by the train at night when it’s all lit up in brilliant holiday lights.

There cars all have cute names too! For example, there's the tank car named Rudy.

It is a flatcar that carries Santa’s sleigh, reindeer, and a miniature village, a gingerbread boxcar, the elves’ workshop, a reindeer stable, and of course, a little red caboose.

You’ll be able to visit with Santa and his elves and take a tour through the train.

You’ll get a tour of some of the cars, each one filled with displays.

The miniature villages are truly something special.

The attention to detail in the craftsmanship is incredible!

The event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required to see this special holiday event!
