Every year for the holiday season, City Park transforms in to a Winter Wonderland.

What started as a one day fundraising event in the 1980s has transformed into one of the biggest lighting displays in the state.

It’s a spectacular holiday light display that draws in more than 165,000 visitors every year.

25 acres of the park are illuminated with Christmas Lights, including the Botanical Garden, Storyland, and the Carousal Gardens Amusement Park.

It’s a dazzling display you’d have to see to believe.

It takes a lot of lights to run Celebration in the Oaks.

558,350 LED bulbs, 42,000 LED bulbs for the dripping snow tree, and 32,800 feet of rope light to be exact.

Celebration in the Oaks runs every day until January 1, with the exception of Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
