The Celebration In The Oaks Is One Of Louisiana’s Biggest, Brightest, And Most Dazzling Drive-Thru Light Displays

Celebration in the Oaks in New Orleans' City Park features a spectacular holiday light display and various festive activities.

'Tis the season to be spending your evenings checking out all of the fabulous holiday light displays in Louisiana! Celebration in the Oaks has been a time-honored tradition for many Louisianians for well over 30 years, and this year the folks behind the scenes have really outdone themselves. Gas up the car and pack some hot chocolate for the ride, because this is one of the biggest and brightest holiday displays in the state.

Every year, New Orleans’ City Park transforms into a holiday light display that would even make the Grinch crack a smile.

For over 30 years, over a million twinkling lights illuminate the park’s ancient oaks and beautiful scenery.

In recent years, they’ve added a driving tour experience.

So you can see these incredible displays from the comfort of your own car.

The 2.25-mile driving tour will give you a front row seat to all of the magnificent displays.

The driving tour takes roughly 45 minutes to get through, and don’t forget to tune your radio to 103.7 so your tour can have the proper holiday music soundtrack!

Everywhere you look, festive displays adorn the park.

It’s truly an incredible work of art!

If you’d like to get out of the car and stretch your legs, the Carousel Gardens Experience gives you an all-access pass to the amusement park.

Here, visitors can enjoy 18 thrilling rides, an outdoor bar to quench your thirst, and endless photo opportunities.

Don’t forget to roast some marshmallows by the fire!

The all-access pass also includes a cup of hot chocolate and a train ride experience for the littlest of visitors.

You can purchase either of the experiences individually, or you can make it a combo so you get the best of both worlds!

We’d recommend planning for about two hours if you choose to do both, so you can take your time viewing all the displays and riding the rides.

Don't forget to purchase your tickets on their website, and be sure to give them a follow on Facebook to stay up to date on nightly events and potential weather delays. If you've ever visited Celebration in the Oaks, share your memories with us in the comments below!
