Candy Cane Lane is a dazzling drive-thru holiday display in Calhoun that you simply must see to believe - photos don’t do it justice!
Conceived and constructed by Amy and Ben Hanson in an incredible labor of love, Candy Cane Lane made its debut in 2017 to high praise, and it instantly became a beloved attraction for children and adults alike. It was clear that this smash hit was destined to become an epic annual holiday tradition not just for them, but for locals all around northeastern Louisiana
The mile-long route leads guests through a spectacular holiday display that features more than one million dazzling lights!
The Hansons begin working on this incredible display during the summer and fall, suspending lights from trees, hanging Christmas figures, and building the popular light tunnels that each stretch over 100 feet long. It takes a long time to get Candy Cane Lane ready for showtime, and their hard work is truly appreciated.
As you drive along the route, you'll see dozens and dozens of displays. I know it's tempting, but remember to stay in your car! You aren't allowed to walk around.
The family behind Candy Cane Lane is always looking to improve the experience, and in recent years they've added a hayride option! Folks can choose to see the holiday display from a hayride rather than their own vehicle, which adds a special touch, I must say. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
Just keep in mind that this is one of the more popular Louisiana light displays in northern Louisiana. The closer it gets to Christmas, the busier it gets! The lights went on in early November and the show runs nightly until January 3, 2026.
The display is open every evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and costs $25 per family vehicle and $12.50 for the hayride. Visitors can purchase tickets to Candy Cane Lane via the website or in person. Cash and cards are accepted!
