These 6 Drive-In Theaters In Kansas Will Give You An Unforgettable Viewing Experience

Explore six remaining drive-in theaters in Colorado for a magical summer movie experience.

One thing that I’ve been looking forward to this summer is taking my toddler to see his first movie on the big screen. Since my little guy is only 1 1/2 (and because I don’t want every single theater patron to hate me), my husband and I decided that taking him to see a movie at the drive-in would probably be the way to go. I have many fond memories of going to the drive-in with my family and can’t wait to share that same cinematic magic with mine. If you are looking to add a little magic to your summer, be sure to check out one of these 6 remaining Colorado drive-in theaters.

1.) Boulevard Drive-In Theater (Kansas City)

Opened in 1950, the Boulevard is the longest operating movie theater (indoor or outdoor) in the Kansas City area.

2.) Kanopolis Drive-In (Kanopolis)

The Kanopolis's history is as rich as its picture quality: A World War II veteran laid off from the salt mines opened not just a theater, but a Kansas institution.

3.) Starlite Drive-In (Wichita)

Parents and children agree: Starlite is #1 for Wichita family fun!

4.) South Drive-In Theater (Dodge City)

Two movies for the price of one? I'll meet you in Dodge City!

5.) B&B Theatres I-70 Drive-In (Kansas City)

Editor's Note: Since the publication of this article, this theater has permanently closed.

6.) B&B Theatres Twin Drive-In (Independence)

Another Missouri drive-in... BUT we're willing to overlook it for the entertaining movies and delicious concession fare!

Which of these theaters is your favorite? Tell me in the comments!
