One of my favorite things to do when I'm traveling out of town is to check out the area's thrift and antique shops. Not only is it beneficial for the environment (and your wallet), but it's also a fun shopping excursion. You really never know what you're going to find, and it's a new experience each time you head to a store. There are plenty of amazing antique stores in Kansas, and whether you love thrift stores, antique shops, or flea markets, there are certainly no places to check out here. One of the very best spots for antique shopping in Lawrence, KS, is the sprawling Lawrence Antique Mall. Check it out:
This three-story antique mall is right in downtown Lawrence and offers plenty of fun for those who love hunting for bargains.
There are seemingly endless booths to explore, and whether you're just looking to browse2 or have a specific item in mind, you can easily spend hours here.
There are collectibles, furniture, and clothing from various eras available here.
Of course, you'll find plenty of Kansas City Chiefs memorabilia, too!
One of my favorite things about antique malls is that the vendors' stock is constantly changing.
You never know what sort of "new" things you'll come across here, even if you're a weekly visitor!
Walking through the Lawrence Antique Mall is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, and who knows... even if you aren't planning on buying anything, you may come out with an armful of items!

There's no shortage of things to do in Lawrence, Kansas. One of our favorite places to stay in Lawrence is the Oread Lawrence, a unique limestone building that overlooks the University of Kansas campus.
