One of our favorites is Kansas Country Store, a charming shop in Leavenworth that has all kinds of delightful home goods and also has a delicious bakery and fudgery serving up all kinds of tasty treats.

Kansas Country Store is about the most succinctly-named business you can find. It's a 10,000 square foot shop that's got everything you need for life in the country, with a focus on items to feed and care for pets and livestock.

However, it's also got plenty of options for home decor and unique gifts. The store opened up in 2003 and has been a staple of the community ever since.

Got a sweet tooth? You have got to try the fudge here - it's delicious!

All the fudge is made in-store using real butter, and it's sold in 0.25-pound increments. Its shelf life is six weeks, but trust us: it probably won't last that long!
