The Dubuque Farmers' Market is also the oldest farmers market in Iowa, operating since 1845, and it's open every Saturday from May 4 to October 26 in 2024. That means that every week, the streets will fill with dozens of stands offering produce, baked goods, ready-to-eat foods, and anything else you can imagine.

The Dubuque Farmers' Market is an amazing open-air market that you can spend all day browsing.

The highlight, of course, is the produce - much of it coming directly from the many family farms surrounding the city.

You can also find a surprising number of specialty products you wouldn't find in a grocery store, like dried mushrooms and fresh herbs.

Of course, many people might be drawn toward the small-batch baked goods on offer - pies, whoopie pies, cookies, and European pastries are all on offer.

You'll also find just about anything else you can think of - crafts, clothing, and even artisan dog treats!

Food trucks will usually be found on the perimeter of the market, so you can just spend the whole day here and have lunch!
