The Hoosier Air Museum in northeast Indiana is a little-known attraction that is dedicated to preserving aircraft history from its earliest days through modern times.

The museum was founded in 1991 and aims to commemorate both the men and women who built and flew these hangers, liners, and jets.

The aircraft museum consists of 10,000 square feet of space to hold all of these historic wonders that guests can come see on weekends March through December.

Depending on the time of year, there may be planes both in and out of the building to see. It's incredible to witness something that has withstood the test of time.

This little-known aircraft museum also has an attached annex that can be used as a banquet hall. It is more than 6,000 square feet and includes a few planes, the resource library, models, and photographs.

Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students ages 12 to 18. Kids 11 and under may enter for free as can active military in uniform.

The Hoosier Air Museum is open March 16 through December 15 each year. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and you can get more details on its website or Facebook page.
